Joshua Tree Mid-Century

We bought this 1960’s desert post and beam house on two and a half acres in 2017 and took it down to the studs. With the help of architect Duane Smith of Hundred Mile House, we transformed a two bedroom one bathroom cabin into a fully redesigned three bedroom two bathroom, with all new hardwood oak flooring, windows and doors and a wrap-around patio with a spa to show off the amazing views of on-site boulders, Saguaros, and Joshua Trees.

The decor was completed with an open kitchen with a vintage O’keefe and Merritt stove and IKEA cabinets. The new bathroom features an orange free standing claw foot tub and a large walk-in shower with Moroccan style encaustic tile. The house was sold in 2025 after a long run as a five star Airbnb property.
